This is the website of Louise Murchie, a storytelling Scotswoman who finally got brave enough to self-publish her later-in-life, second chance romance stories. Thank you, lockdown!
When I started writing Gone Dutch during the Lockdown of 2020, I would not have believed you if you had told me I’d write more, add to that series, or create some really ace, kick-ass characters. 12 Novels and many more anthology pieces later, I’m thrilled and nervous that I’m still on this spectacular roller-coaster of a ride.
I fell into the second-chance easily; it’s one I’ve always enjoyed. I don’t read dark romance, so you’ll find my stories are feel-good ones with cinnamon-roll heroes that may be later in their lives. I’m not in my 20s, and I wanted to write about mid-life people (35+) who find love a second time, or later.
It’s been challenging, it’s been stimulating, it’s been humbling, and most of all, it’s been fabulous. I’ve met some other fabulous authors, some of whom I now class as friends, besties: women I can ask an honest opinion from and get it, without malice.
